Duterte to Obama:
“Bro… i didn’t mean it.
i’m stressed out.
Fourteen of my own townsfolk were killed …
by terrorists the day before,
… i walked on streets drenched with their blood,
saw their dismembered bodies at the morgue…”
From interaksyon.com: “President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday voiced “regret” that “strong comments” he made “came across as a personal attack” on US President Barack Obama and led to the cancellation of the two leaders’ scheduled meeting in Laos on Tuesday.
“At the same time, the brief statement read by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea in Laos, said the “meeting between the Philippines and United States has been mutually agreed upon to be moved to a later date.”
“ “While the immediate cause was my strong comments to certain press questions that elicited concern and distress, we also regret it came across as a personal attack on the US President,” Duterte’s statement read.”
