President Duterte has been incommunicado in the last 24 hours and failed to vote in the first elections during his term. (most likely, he is just sleeping in thru the long weekend and no one has been authorized to wake him up).
He is scheduled to visit the Benham Rise tomorrow.
If he is still a no-show, it’s time to invoke a constitutional provision.
Let’s wait for another 24 hours to invoke it.
Here’s the constitutional provision on the President’s health.
“Art. VII, Section 12. In case of serious illness of the President, the public shall be informed of the state of his health. The members of the Cabinet in charge of national security and foreign relations and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, shall not be denied access to the President during such illness.”
