Monet, “On the Bank of the Seine, Bennecourt, 1868” , i photographed a print.
This is an excerpt from my November 26, 2006 blog post when the President was confined at the St. Luke’s: quote “We hope the President is well. If it is just ordinary debility, we hope the President would take time out and get enough rest and sleep. Or, if it is some chronic condition, we hope it is manageable and that changes in her lifestyle and environment would help manage the condition. If it is an infection, we wish her immune system would overcome it.”
The same hope and prayer goes for the First Gentleman. And this is not just for good copy like some politician’s press release; the files show it has always been this way from the start, since last year. Criticisms have been on “figures involved in newsworthy events”. FG doesn’t have to do anything for anyone right now like reflect on something; getting well is enough.
And for this, i chose a Monet, here it is again
I went over my file of prints then pulled this out then photographed it on my desk (even if my eyes are already drying up from the work today) “On the Bank of the Seine, Bennecourt, 1868” . Breathe and move and flex and get well.
