The Supreme Court had a scheduled en banc after all, this morning. They issued a TRO against the implementation of the ZTE “contract” (I’ve put that in quotes because there seem to be denials from some government officials that there was a contract or an agreement).

Since there was an en banc , any petition to set aside the prohibition against the live media coverage of the promulgation of People vs. Estrada could have been given due course and discussed this morning.

The Sandiganbayan special division issued its final guidelines Friday, leaving the KBP and other concerned parties perhaps very little time to make their moves.

The prohibition of the Sandiganbayan against the live media coverage of the promulgation is basically anti-democratic and lends itself vulnerable to question and criticism. It does not bode well for any challenges that would be hurled against it later.
