Mr. Senators: that’s wiretapping, duh.

That’s wiretapping. Duh. Post facto permission notwithstanding. The senators are asking the parties Jun Lozada and Manny Gaite  to authorize the phone companies to disclose  the text messages between them on February 3, 2008. While the phone companies have the technological  capability to intercept and record all text messages of all cellphones in their service, in the same way that all internet servers have the technological capability of intercepting and recording all your email messages passwords notwithstanding, THEY WILL NEVER ADMIT THAT THEY ARE DOING THAT. I’ve asked them before, when my cellphone  in one instance, and my email in another instance, were behaving strangely. They explained to me that, well, technologically, they can, but they don’t daw. It’s a violation of the Anti-Wiretapping Law. Duh. They can but they don’t daw.
