From DZMM of ABS-CBN news: Milk from the following brands: Anchor Lite, Anlene, Anmum, Klim, M & M, Nestle milk, four variants including Nestle Carnation Calcium Plus , and 49 others, or a total of 56 brands of milk and milk products, are being tested for melamine content by the BFAD.
Because of time constraints of the broadcast medium, the list went by fast but the report said that the complete list has been uploaded in www.bfad.gov.ph
That site is down at the moment. I tried. I would have copied and pasted here the complete list.
The list was made based on the fact that these brands imported their milk from China. The advisory is: it is not sure whether or not the milk produced by these brands have melamine content, it is supposed to be “left to the decision of the consumer”, according to the news report, whether to continue consuming these products pending the results of the test scheduled to come out next week.
Now, they tell me, i’ve been drinking milk from one of these brands daily.
Try to get the complete list and check what you and your family members may be using; and if you’re using any of these, if i were you, i’d stop in the meantime; better yet, switch brands altogether to one not importing raw materials, ingredients, and products from China. Unless you want to take chances with your health.
