And the “Song of the Year” / “Album of the Year” is…

A song used here in this blog (i use up about 8 to 12  songs a year i think; i make an effort to use OPM’s) about a corrupt ruler, with lines like…

     ” for some reason i can’t explain

i know St. Peter won’t call my name

        Never an honest word….

that was when i ruled the world,…etc.”

is in a collection nominated as “Album of the Year” in the Grammies ( or nominated “Song of the Year”, one or the other).

(of course, it’s American-oriented, and i’ll get a mouthful from Filipino composers, but the world market is open to all English-writing songwriters.)

  1. As a music industry professional not sure about this years winner but I just came across an amazing album thats a winner for women in general. Believe it or not its by the actress Sally Kellerman self titled. Amazing voice thats warm, heartfelt, and soothing. It should be sold with bubble bath, chocolates and a bottle of wine. Not sure the web site but the record label is Music Force. Enjoy!
