Just this early morning at about 4:00 am, had an hour to kill before starting to get ready for a 7am-10 am so i thought I would look at videos  for something  to post for the Feb. 25 EDSA uprising anniversary. i was looking at the “Lakas Sambayanan” (People Power) clips on Youtube, directed and produced by Butch Nolasco for the Worldwide People Power Foundation.  found the exact clip, and watched it again (this was a comprehensive documentary that captured the events from EDSA One to EDSA Dos, or two decades.) In the talkies, there was Randy David, former Feliciano commission member  Carol Hernandez, Col. Maligalig, then… there was Angelo Reyes who talked about his reasons for joining the 1986 EDSA people’s uprising – how his conscience couldn’t take anymore what the Marcos dictatorship was doing….

      when i saw that, this 4am,  i thought…is this the clip i will use for my blog…? People will just remember the Senate investigation; of how a former colleague of his testified that he allegedly received a bagful of send-off money of P50 million….

     so i kept asking myself, is this the clip I will use; sayang maganda pa naman (roughly translated: i want to use it, what a shame, the documentary is excellent and i wanted to use it).

       and that’s  how i never  decided.

       i found out later that Angelo Reyes had killed himself.
