“Academic Oval” refers to the entire orbit of academic buildings and the wide road they face that ellipses in a gentle route. The structures include the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, College of Arts and Letters, College of Education on the south side, Vinzons Hall (UP Student Center), UP School of Business Administration, UP School of Economics on the east-northeast side, the UP College of Law, UP College of Engineering on the North side, the UP College of Music, UP College of Mass Communication on the west northwest side, with the UP “Sunken Garden”, the UP Main Library, the UP Lagoon in the middle of the oval shape, and the UP Oblation and UP Administration on the top west side, University Avenue.
