This was aired live on Teleradyo TV and multi-platforms, i was able to catch it at 1pm — when I got home in the evening, the live stream had finished, so I’m typing these from memory: the interviewee got the invite at 9pm, or on 15 hours’ notice, was hesitant but since he is a GenZ-millennial pop culture creatives team member, he was convinced by the Teleradyo coordinator that he can answer the questions on GenZ-millennial love teams.
Anchor Migs Bustos, Q: Bakit malaking impluwensiya ang mga showbiz loveteams sa Pinoy? Bakit ganuon sila kaapektado sa mga rumors or breakups nila?
From Lester, Answer: The way na sinusulat ang mga pelikula, teleserye, gumagawa ng malalim na kuneksyon sa mga manonood. Ang mga manonood, either nakikita nila ang sarili nila rito sa mga characters o sa kwento, o ito ang gusto nilang danasin sa totoong buhay… Sa tingin nila, sumasalamin ito sa kanila. Kaya’t ganuon na lang kaapektado at INVESTED ang mga tao sa love teams. Ang nakikita nila ang kanilang ideal — ang maging lovers, at magkaroon ng perfection. Iyun din ang maaaring dahilan kung bakit pwede nating sabihin na mas apektado ang mga tao kung ang on-screen partners ay real-life partners kumpara sa kung ang partner ay non-showbiz.
Anchor Migs Bustos, Q: Yes, invested, yung sinabi mong word na INVESTED sila, paano dapat ang gawin para hindi masyadong apektado sa mga breakups ng love teams?
From Lester, Answer: Yung… Permanence is in the transience. Ganuon, dapat matutunan natin iyon, ng mga audience — na may cycle ang mga love teams. May cycle ang mga ito. Ibig sabihin karamihan dito ay matatapos din bilang love teams, dumadaan karamihan. Kapag natutunan ito ng mga audience ay hindi na sila masyadong magiging apektado at madali nila matanggap at sila ay makapag-move forward.
Anchor Migs Bustos, Q: Bilang bahagi ng creative at production team sa ating GenZ-millennial pop culture, paano nyo ipinapakita ang love teams sa mga ginagawa nyo?
From Lester, Answer: Sabi nga ng mga professors ko (UPFI/ UP Film Institute) lahat ng storylines sa buong mundo ay nagawa na, LAHAT IYAN — nagawa na sabi ng mga professors ko: wala nang bagong storyline o original plot lahat yan ay nagawa na kung kaya yung treatment na gagawin mo o kung paano mo isusulat o yung twist na ibibigay mo, iyan ang originality ng kwento mo. Sa mga music videos na ginagawa namin, gumagamit kami ng tema na love kasi universal ito, pero kakaiba ang treatment, ang kwento ay may twist. Sa pinaka-recent namin, iyung “Delulu” na kanta ni Zack Tabudlo, pinakita namin, visually, na karamihan ng thoughts at plans ng main character tungkol sa kanyang nagugustuhan ay batay lamang sa mga ilusyon at hindi magkakatotoo — at sobrang dami ang mga ilusyon.
Anchor Migs Bustos, Q: Paano ba mag-move on mula sa isang breakup? Halimbawa lang, hypothetical.
From Lester, Answer: Halimbawa kung mahirap na breakup kasi sampung taon na magkasama…
Anchor Migs Bustos, Q: Hypothetical ba iyan o totoong nangyari (laughs)?
From Lester, Answer (laughs): Hypothetical lang ito hahaha. Halimbawa kung bad breakup, ang gagawin ko, at ang ibibigay kong treatment diyan, I will look to the future. Kelangan isipin mo ang mga gagawin mo sa future at gumawa ka ng mga plano. Or else you will just be swimming in what happened. Kasi…Wala kang kontrol sa mga nangyari na, nangyari na ang mga iyon wala ka nang kontrol doon pero meron kang kontrol sa mga desisyon mo at gagawin mo at yung mga pwede pang mangyari sa buhay mo, may kontrol ka sa mga iyon — kaya gumawa ka ng mga plano. Iyan din ang ibibigay ko na treatment.

From Lester, Answer: Yes, ipapakita ko ang future nya, meron kang kontrol sa mga pwedeng mangyari.
