The saving grace of that is two of them featured my chosen most-stylish-of-the-day, who wore sensible daytime wear, MSME Filipino-artisan made Filipiniana… here is a photo of that with a description and the names of the Filipino MSME artisans, from her public Instagram post from two days ago…

And as a final note: Daytime formal wear is not ridiculously flowing, exaggeratedly beaded, absurdly glittery floor length floor-sweeping gowns — this is an entire ploy by couture designers to sell their wares.
Daytime formal wear Filipiniana — at least for working professionals and non-dynasties — is typically from ankle-length to midi to knee-length or above-the-knees Filipiniana or Filipiniana top on slacks or pants, and without glitter and not too much beadwork.
It’s also cool to feature Filipino MSMEs to provide more opportunities to more people.
Well, that’s just me based on experience — among working professionals, everytime someone is overdressed, we rib them, magni-ninang/ magni-ninong ka ba sa kasal??? 🤣🤸😆
