At the time this interview was ongoing at 9:20am, the witness, government assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez who has valuable corroborated, first-hand evidence to uncover who may have taken kickbacks in billions of pesos in the flood control ghost projects or sub-standard projects, was detained at the Pasay City Jail where he was transferred and mixed with hardened criminal suspects yesterday late afternoon.
At around noontime today, he was transferred to the Senate compound for detention.
At 4pm during the plenary, two senators allied with the senators who were implicated by the witness, and the two senators who were implicated themselves, rued the Senate for the entire plenary session for transferring the witness to the Senate compound.
