it was a bit shocking and a bit confusing to read the messages of condolences in Ces’s twitter account (Ces Oreña Drilon at twitter.com/cesdrilon) until I realized it was about her sister, Grace “Grech” Oreña.

     We have exchanged personal messages a few moments ago.

      i know of Grech Oreña during those dangerous times when the nation was gripped after discovering that  Ces was taken hostage by gunmen in Sulu. Her sister, Grech, calmly faced the media to represent the family to give updates, and to bravely send messages to the gunmen.

 I also know of her from Ces’s happy tweets about her sisters’ greetings and goings-on,  and from her posting of Thursday Throwback  and Friday Flashback photos.

 (i’m one of those people who cannot bring themselves to use the past tense at times like this). (the “Like” button has been disabled for this post).

     The bond between sisters will outlive the earth and the stars. My family and I  convey   this message of support and hope to let her know that she and her family are in our thoughts.
