National Heroes’ Day

Heroes’ Day, Andres Bonifacio Day. The men and women who joined the Katipunan  were in their teens and twenties when they left their homes and waged war against the Spanish rulers (explanation for non-Filipinos: the Katipunan was an underground movement that waged a revolution against the Spanish colonizers).

blog has ran out of warrior poses to post for heroes’ day.; haven’t done ashtanga yoga in more than a month now; resumed for two weeks before that, when  i stopped for a month, too, before the two weeks. But  been running at dawn every other day.

there’s an asana called “Hero’s Pose”, we don’t do it in ashtanga but we used to do it in flow yoga…lemme see if i have time to execute, we have a 9am to 5pm meeting- planning session today,  a holiday. maybe an asana during the break, if eynee (if any)…see you later!

Chores

John Mayer’s song. It’s not my song. certainly not. But I have chores. It’s Christmas. Well, they’re not really chores (photo of washed-out author removed)….well… they are….Not really except that….ok, not chores.

Waiting On The World To Change

By John Mayer

me and all my friends
we’re all misunderstood
they say we stand for nothing and
there’s no way we ever could
now we see everything that’s going wrong
with the world and those who lead it
we just feel like we don’t have the means
to rise above and beat it
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

it’s hard to beat the system
when we’re standing at a distance
so we keep waiting
waiting on the world to change
now if we had the power
to bring our neighbors home from war
they would have never missed a Christmas
no more ribbons on their door
and when you trust your television
what you get is what you got
cause when they own the information, oh
they can bend it all they want
that’s why we’re waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
it’s not that we don’t care,
we just know that the fight ain’t fair
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
and we’re still waiting
waiting on the world to change
we keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
one day our generation
is gonna rule the population
so we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change

we keep on waiting
waiting on the world to change
