on the blog entry: “Disclosures”:

Yeah, and we were office mates in RoboKap. So, when I say something nice about you or when you refer me to Cherry Cornell, make sure you disclose that we were office mates under RSR. Mwahaha! Long time no hear, girl! edwin lacierda – November 29th, 2006 at 3:57 pm
(mcl’s note: RoboKap is the former Roco Bunag Kapunan Migallos Law Office; Cherry Cornell is a producer at ANC, about a month back i recommended Edwin to debate with Manoling Morato in the ANC show Square-Off)

hey. i remembered you were a film major aside from being a constitutional law professor so I thought you would have been ideal for the topic censorship; and of course we worked together in the former Roco Bunag law office but you were qualified to talk on the topic, i was objective!… you certainly made a good decision to pass it on to me: talking under time pressure in “Square Off” of ANC, host:Twink Macaraig, is like being chased by a yelping dog down the street (their staff knows how nerve-wracked I was). Anyway, I saw an episode of theirs with Marvic Leonen and
Teddy Casino and at the end, Marvic got 99.04% and Teddy
Casino got 0.06%, and when Twink Macaraig was reading the numbers she was laughing and said something like “is this possible? (represses laughter) how can that be, (can’t speak from laughing) is that at all possible? (represses laughter). When I saw her, I said “you were laughing because you probably thought 0.06% is half-a-person’s vote! you thought it was half-a-person!”, and she said, ”gosh, what would people think (laughs softly)….no…. the teleprompter read: -0.06% (negative zero point zero six percent) so I thought, how can there be a negative text vote, is that at all possible?!
So anyway, maybe the show could have allowed her to make a mention of an erratum but I guess it’s better not to also because people will be reminded of the guests and the scores. (There’s no such number as a negative zero i think but there is a negative zero point zero six (a negative fraction) but you would be puzzled if it were a negative text vote or a negative zero point zero six percent text vote)…so…… she’s right to be puzzled with the teleprompter! 🙂 … I’m rambling.
