Under a spreading acacia tree
The lazy runner stands
The runner, a mighty thing supposedly
With large and sinewy …. hair strands.

The muscles of her spindly arms
Are strong as walis tingting bands
Her face is like leather tan
Her brow is wet with honest sweat
She runs and prances when’er she can
And looks the whole world in the face
Except when she’s looking down under
… extreme sun
-profuse apologies to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
and all serious poets
(just saying … mhah-inet pa ren)
(sun protection by Sunskeen SPF 50, doctor-prescribed)
