Sniper’s bullet in assassination of #TanauanMayor recovered: PNP refuses to identify
Two hours ago, the GMA News reporter, in State of the Nation by Jessica Soho, said their source (a GMA News source) revealed that the PNP had recovered a basyó(empty shell) at the sniper’s spot early today. The PNP refused to disclose the identification of the bullet shell.
The autopsy had been conducted late today, according to the GMA News reporter, and the PNP had recovered the bullet from the body (the slug) but the PNP refused to disclose the identification of the slug because, according to the PNP, it was too deformed to be identified.
Really.
PNP Chief Albayalde and his investigators can do better and be more efficient.
It’s been more than twelve hours. The longer it takes to disclose the identification of the bullet and the make and model of the firearm (possibly an M14), the bigger the room there is for manipulation and fabrication of evidence.
Meanwhile, President Duterte in his speech in Leyte this afternoon did not condemn the killing (thatwas just his spokesperson, Harry, referring to “the Palace” in the usual, typical reglamentory statement, and not the President) — the President instead linked the mayor to big druglords, then warned all other mayors who might be linked to drugs not to be involved with the drug trade. The pronouncement of the President effectively characterizes the assassination of the Tanauan mayor as part of the drug war, doesn’t it?
Is there no one in this country professional enough as investigator not to tamper with the evidence in this case, and competent enough to seriously background it?
(sorry lang powz, it is disheartening — how do you teach kung ganito ang pinaggagagawâ)
