He (photo from previous post)

introduced and taught yoga to the University academic and non-acad staff as early as 2004; occasionally visits U.P. now to reconnect with old friends in the University and it is not his charity work, as erroneously stated here (not his charity work; got it). Aside from introducing yoga to the University, sometime in 2004; was a member of Yoga Team Philippines sometime then, and later introduced ashtanga yoga to U.P. sometime in 2007. (i think i got that right.) So you could fairly say he sort of pioneered the practice/ discipline in U.P. and probably, that had something to do with yoga (basic) as a course offering now in U.P. under CHK (College of Human Kinetics). The on-line site for University academic course offerings is down right now, i researched this time but the site is down, i don’t know if the University yoga course includes its theory, philosophy, history, etc. or just the asanas (poses). By the way, for a subject to be taught in U.P., it has to be reviewed by the Cluster composed of deans, in this case, the Humanities Cluster, CHK belongs to the Humanities Cluster; then approved by the University Council, the highest academic policy-making body in U.P. – fyi for outsiders: a “Cluster” in U.P. is a group of colleges categorized according to curriculum by the University Council; the Cluster asks all sorts of questions; (I once had to present there and after a hundred non-stop questions i almost answered with….”Ma’am… can i….. use a lifeline? A phonecall? I have the right to one phonecall… don’t i?” .. So anyway.) …studied in India (got that right), now teaches regularly at Yoga Manila (just google it), the leading yoga center in the Philippines. (okay, hope got all that right).

Just for accuracy also… there was already a yoga community program even before I started teaching. He (the teacher) left for the US and I took over comrec yoga program.
Then Mam Ces invited me to teach in psych 2x a week. I left for the Middle East in 2006 and Joji took over the classes.
The PE1 Yoga is theory and practice while PE2 Yoga is mostly practice.
