Happy Hallow’s Eve (Hallow E’en, or Hallow Evening or Halloween)! We don’t really recognize that as a holiday here in the Philippines (we observe All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day) but because of Western influences, certain residential upper middle class subdivisions celebrate it …  Happily, in L.A. and other places, it’s a popular merry festivity. (i think this is a old, “pre-christian” tradition that found its way to America etc etc.)
