Mary Jane Veloso’s mother apologized yesterday, via TV interview, for what she said was “bugso ng damdamin” (emotinal outburst) when she lashed out at government the other week. Her lawyer, via phonepatched TV interview today , qualified that apology (i didn’t catch the entirety of it)…

        The “outbursts” directed at the President instead of the drug traffickers and the human trafficking syndicate allowed the President, of all people, to get the “highground” when he said, in response to the lashing out, “we should focus on getting Mary Jane out of jail:.. or “but what is the cause of why she is in jail (that should be the focus)”… “everyone played a part, it’s not important who gets the credit…”  

    Tsk. (tsk means i don’t like it anymore than you do: you should focus on updating the public, everyday, of the status of the investigation, and updating the Indonesian counterpart by official and unofficial communication every other day)
