(UPDATED 3:30pm: From GMA News 7: Duterte set to announce tonight the quarantine protocol for April 5-30. ) Still a knee-jerk reaction. Fails to examine the data and to ask the all-important question…
ECQ on Holy Week vacation: The IATF is obviously aiming to curb the uniquely Filipino behavior of going to beach parties, resort reunions, mall get-togethers, swimming pool cook-outs during Holy Week vacay, even as the Covid count nears 10,000 a day – ayaw lang nila sabihin nang ganito kasi galít na mga tao.
But the IATF fails to ask the all-important question … to be able to solve the problem in the long term … and the all-important question is …
sandali lang,
busy ako.
May inaaral ako — ang dami nyo kasi nire-red-tag, inaaral ko data.
Solving the runaway Philippine pandemic numbers of the apparent second wave
requires a multi-disciplinary approach that the Duterte administration is deprived of as it is busy red-tagging people in the universities.
Ok.
O, sige na nga.
Here it is:
Look at the data …
on the apparent second wave, as it were…
and ask…
ask, Why?
The contact-tracing data on the thousands who were recently infected show that
the large numbers were most probably infected when they were breaking bread, as it were, (or during meal time) , with friends, colleagues, co-workers, family members,
in hundreds of workplaces and
spreading to thousands of homes.
Why did people in large numbers, as if animated by a zeitgeist, let go of their learned practice of observing physical distancing during meal time
replicated by thousands of co-workers, family members, and friends?
Ask the Why.
What were the events contemporaneous to the recent increase which affected people’s perception of the pandemic and would most likely explain the letting-go of the learned practices.
The “why” is the all-important question,
and the IATF and the Duterte administration is deprived of a multi-disciplinary approach
because …
iyan ang pag-isipan nyo
imbes na mag-red-tag kayo.
A solemn Lent, everyone.
