“We ❤ NYC” open-air concert and other open-air shows with safety protocols serve to give us a glimpse of how we can rebuild our lives… but the producers and organizers should

constantly remind audiences that there are pending tasks

in order to fully contain the pandemic worldwide and to prevent another pandemic, such as:

1. The equitable distribution of vaccines worldwide should be fast-tracked.

2. According to public health experts, due to the Delta variant, safety protocols such as mask mandates and physical distancing need to be continued even among the vaccinated until further research and a more effective vaccine against the variants pass clinical trials (unless you are 100% certain everyone you will meet during and after the concert is both fully vaccinated and in good health or without any comorbidity — which you’re not (not fully certain, therefore, the safety protocols) )

3. Government policies and human behavior need to change in order to prevent the next pandemic starting with :

a. Seeking accountability from those responsible for the initial outbreak and the ensuing pandemic, and

b. Instituting international multilateral preventive measures to avert the next pandemic.
