Putin is not serious about any negotiated political settlement without a surrender of the Ukrainian military as demanded by him. The sanctions are not harsh enough to deter Russia, help will not come Ukraine’s way soon enough or in time to save the capital, Ukraine is outgunned but not outfought. You need to prepare for the worst case scenario which is, Putin, in conventional warfare, might be able to take the capital. Ukraine, supported by its people and a Ukranian armed militia in the surrounding areas needs to be able to maintain a working Ukrainian revolutionary government, keep Zelenskyy alive and within Ukraine, and strengthen Ukrainian international alliance work.
