Law on Mass Media Zoom, student asked: Is the SIM Registration Law constitutonal? I gave a conditional opinion. To illustrate, I asked, do you (students) have “two government IDs” required for registration of your SIM. They replied “No” they only had the school ID. I have repeated over and over the warning that implementation of the SIM Registration Law w/o IRRs requiring notice of de-actv by texts, grace periods after such notices, will cause chaos in online banking, online commerce, and emails requiring SIMs. I hope people are listening. Chaos and Armageddon po.

During the class in Law on Mass Media in Zoom, a class member asked me: Is the SIM Registration Law constitutional? I gave a conditional/qualified opinion. Then, to illustrate, I asked them whether they (students) have “two government IDs” required for registration of their SIM. They replied “No” they only had the school ID. I have repeated over and over the warning that the implementation of the SIM Registration Law, without IRRs requiring notice of deactivation by texts, grace periods after such notices, will cause chaos in online banking, online commerce, and emails requiring SIMs. I hope people are listening. Chaos and Armageddon po.
