or if you were/ are involved in any rescue and relief operation, fund-raising drive, campaign and communication work in connection with the floods and typhoon:

If you are not located in any typhoon-affected area but are experiencing mental anguish or mental anxiety due to family members or friends who were affected by the following unfortunate events this week or a few days ago (Typhoon Paeng 121 deaths, more than 700,000 lost their homes; Itaewon crowd crush 154 deaths, Gujarat India Morbi bridge collapse 140+deaths) or from reading reports of deaths and destruction: You are advised to consult with a medical professional you trust, or to consult with PsychServes (c/o OVCSA, phone numbers in the UPD website), and to decompress by talking to family members or trusted friends about what you are experiencing (with the usual health and safety protocols). You are also exempted from this week’s reading assignment and asynchronous class, no cost.
