“Deadline: June 5, 2026

“The UP Department of Journalism invites applications for a full-time faculty position to start in  A.Y. 2026-2027. (This is to fill an anticipated vacancy.)

“The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Department of Journalism. They will be teaching undergraduate and/or graduate journalism courses, in addition to mentoring students. The new faculty member will also be assigned to teach common courses offered by the College of Media and Communication. They are also expected to contribute to the research and extension agenda of the Department and participate in departmental, college, and university activities.

“Minimum qualifications:

” – At least five years experience in journalism

” – An MA degree in journalism or related discipline

“Note: College-level teaching and academic research experiences are strong advantages.

“Appointment terms:

“The appointment entails a teaching load of 12 units per semester, which constitutes the regular teaching load in UP. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with the government guidelines. Further details will be discussed in subsequent interviews.
