Emilyn pronounced dead 6:10pm Jan. 4

From GMA7 News: “Emilyn Calano, the 15-year-old girl who fell into coma after she was hit in the head by a stray bullet on New Year’s Eve, died on Wednesday night, a radio report said, citing Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial.
“In a text message, Ubial said Calano was pronounced dead by a doctor of the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) in Sta. Cruz, Manila, at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday after suffering from cardiac arrest.
” “She arrested at 5:30 p.m. They tried to resuscitate, but was not successful. [She was] declared dead at 6:10 p.m.,” Ubial said.
“Calano’s remains will have to undergo autopsy, she added.
“Calano was reportedly watching a fireworks display near their house in Malabon City when the incident happened last Saturday.
“Police have already identified the suspect behind the indiscriminate firing and is now subject of manhunt operations.
Authorities also filed charges for attempted murder and reckless imprudence resulting in serious physical injuries against the suspect before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office.
“The charges will likely be elevated to either homicide or murder following Calano’s death. —KBK, GMA News”
