10th Media Monitor 1st class or 7th Bonus (last bonus) here

10th Media Monitor

of the first class,

or 7th Bonus (last bonus) here

For the first class: The 10th Media Monitor, or any bonus not yet submitted, can be posted here.
The 7th and last bonus is on the coverage of any May Day event 2017 or Labor Day 2017, or events related to Labor Day on, before, or after May 1, 2017 (any news, feature story, interview- analysis, photo essay, video docu, etc).
Deadline: May 3 at 12 noon.

Reminder: All presenters who have not reported must be ready next week. Any presenter whose name is called and is not ready will get a score of zero.
Exams will push thru as scheduled after next week.
Happy long weekend and Labor Day everyone!

Lucky 8 and Lucky 9

 8th and 9th Media Monitor
For the NXT class: The 8th Media Monitor and the 9th Media Monitor can be submitted here , preferably in one post for ease of checking and recording. They can cover media content from the previous two weeks, to the present week, up to next week — or media content for the period April 4- 27, with deadline on April 27 at 12:00 noon. Bonuses not yet posted apply.
So, in sum:
Two posts can be submitted for this window : They can either be
1)two regular media monitor,
                 or
2) one regular and one bonus,
                    or
3) two bonuses). (choose one pair from these three pairs — or you can just post one media monitor if you’re not up to it. Next week’s window will already be the 10th Media Monitor, i.e., any post not submitted is considered a forfeit.).

For obvious reasons, and for orderly submission of work, please put the title, “8th Media Monitor” on your work, and “9th Media Monitor” on the second one, if any. If submitting a Bonus, indicate so in the title: Do not re-assign a new number to the Bonus but follow the number it was given here, regardless of how many bonuses you have previously submitted or have not submitted; then state the topic.
Schedules and exams will push thru as discussed in class.

The UP Student Regent

did not object

to the grant of honorary degree to #Du30

during the board (BOR) meeting:

Solve the mystery

And the real “mystery” is: The sitting UP Student Regent (student political party: STAND-U.P.) did not object to the grant of honorary degree to Duterte during the meeting of the Board of Regents last April 5, 2017.

     Check the minutes.

     Check the entire minutes.

And the answer to this puzzler is…

         Secret …

More than 350 #UP Diliman profs convened to resolve proposed Gen Ed changes

(android-shot 5 hours ago)

More than 350 regular faculty members from assistant professors to full professors  of the University of the Philippines Diliman convened as the University Council five hours ago to resolve proposed changes in the “general education” program (or liberal education required of all students) of UP Diliman.

Photo below shows a 7-year old gifted child who earned his M.A. degree recently to qualify as assistant professor, preparing his proposed amendments to the resolutions. He however left for home early, before the voting started,  due to “lack of material time” on his part, as Channel Animax’s “Young Kindaichi” was about to start.
