SIMRegistration #EmergencyAlert My computer science expert adviser (named “Mark”) says: “The voice emergency alert is on a different platform from text messaging and can broadcast on phones”

From me: Many thanks. Very informative. Yes, during the elections, many people received campaign messages from strangers that are unsolicited haha.
So the emergency alerts are on a different “platform” from text messaging and can emit the emergency message even if the owner does not pick up the phone. Good to know. Ok, i understand the concept now — it is on a different platform.
.. Are you giving permission to publish your response without revealing your full name? Ok lang kung hindi, haha.
Thanks, thanks.

(permission had been given by my computer science expert adviser to publish his expert opinion, as follows:
“Hi N_ _ _ _ _
“They sent it on the same platform they use to send emergency SOS message broadcasts like storm and earthquake alerts. It’s not a text message, it’s an alert. So naturally if your phone allows Emergency/SOS messages, it will do it just like that (which would be the same thing that would happen for any other calamity/public emergency). Pretty sure the Emergency Broadcasts are part of public service laws (it has been used before during elections).”
