THE END OF AN ERA OF WAR

(He is standing on bridge happily eating his burrito; i split the photo, reversed one of the halves, put the same halves together for two half-screens into one: a split-photo story for the split-second story photo challenge.)
and i said “Maybe he doesn’t like war. J for President”…
This sea of crosses, hopefully, has stopped expanding, the war in Iraq having wound down.
The other day, the U.S. president announced troops would have been pulled out of Afghanistan by the end of this year.
It is the end of a warring era.
