quote “According to PAGASA, a new typhoon, .PEPENG. with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph and gustiness of up to 185 kphwill hit the country tomorrow, October 2, 2009. We expect to experience more rains in Luzon over the weekend.

quote “Work is suspended tomorrow (blog admin’s note: this memo is for U.P. Diliman only) so that everyone can prepare for the arrival of typhoon Peping. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs and the UP Diliman Ondoy Task Force, recommend the following plan of action:

quote “- Prepare flashlights, spare batteries, candles and matches, in case there will be power interruptions.

quote “- Stock sufficient canned goods and other non-perishable food items.

quote “- Have a first aid kit ready.

quote – Ensure that your homes and other belongings are secured.

quote “- Keep handy important contact numbers in case of emergencies.
