breaking news: Obama wins 303 to 206 by CNN projection.

Liveblog: Phone conversation now taking place between the standard bearers according to CNN sources; John King’s (CNN) sources said it was a short, polite conversation and that Mitt Romney had conceded (in that phone conversation with Obama.)

Romney now at podium to address supporters. Makes concession speech.

     Popular vote numbers not yet final at 49% -49%  but Romney is leading there slightly by four figures. 

    Obama has arrived at the Chicago stadium/ hall.

   He’s now onstage with his family. Rousing welcome, music, “signed sealed delivered” by Stevie Wonder. Now at podium.

   According to CNN, Obama now leads the popular vote by more than a million.
