            As you know, i’m half-vegetarian, if there is such a thing; i still eat fish; and i can eat anything, i don’t get anxiety symptoms when i see meat or when i’m in a party or when i’m a guest in someone else’s house and there are no accommodations for those who want to be vegetarian. It started when Crysta (who’s an avowed vegetarian) told me she was a vegetarian and  said that vegetarians could  eat fish and seafood, only vegans eat  pure vegetables and vegetable products (yes, i know, there are schools of thought on it); so, i said, “That’s easy. I can do that. I like seafood!” So, when no one’s  listening, i call myself vegetarian. (apparently, i’m not, because i still eat fish; but there are schools of thought on it! Crysta studied in France, so she must be correct.)

                i make an effort. It’s fun. It’s fun when it’s your choice,  and not because you’re sick or have physical conditions or being prohibited by the doctor or being pressured by others. So, i’m probably half or two-thirds or three-fourths vegetarian . i’ll stop doing this if it stops being comfortable  like when it starts becoming a religion or ideology.

             You can also go both organic and vegetarian. So….Apparently, in the Philippines, there’s no agency that monitors whether those shops and stores claiming to sell organic food stuff are selling real organically grown food.

         Many times, i was told by a connoisseur, they were not, You have to do your own investigating; so, many times, when you think you’re buying organically grown food, you’re not, i.e., like other vegetables and food stuff, the produce had been drizzled by the usual poison (pesticides, fertilizer, etc.). So…. don’t go by the label or claims, you have to ask around….. i wasn’t paying attention when Del (who owns, manages, and cooks in her vegetarian restaurant) stressed the name of the outlet that she knew first-hand, sold organically grown food, because i didn’t think i’ll ever have the time to go myself and check it out. But on a whim, one sunny morning, i crashed the flea market myself. And i was lost in there. Did i ever mention that KQ was an angel? She just showed up there; what are the chances of that happening, at that exact moment and spot. And that’s how i found these (see photo), organic carrot noodles.
