Hi there,

(on) “My soundcloud pod is no longer autoplaying since 2 days ago even if it’s always
set to autoplay. Would you know why? What can be done about it? Tnx. -marichu”

Happy to help. Can you tell us which browser you are using? I know Chrome recently made changes to media autoplaying (source – https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes )

When I tested, I saw that chrome wouldn’t autoplay the audio track, but Firefox would play it. Can you share which browser you are using?

Have a great day,

From blog admin: Thank you for the very prompt reply. i’m using Google Chrome, i see what you mean, Google Chrome said (in the link you provided) “… web browsers are moving towards stricter autoplay policies in order to improve the user experience, minimize incentives to install ad blockers, and reduce data consumption on expensive and/or constrained networks… ” Bummer. (i’m attached to Google Chrome, and many people are.) i’ll just put the music pod on top of the page so people have the option of clicking it if they want to stream it — i think that was the intent of Google Chrome. tnx. -marichu
