APOLOGIES TO MY STUDENTS
WordPress embeds advertisements on this blog that I don’t have control over (except to flag them when inappropriate) and don’t earn from. i never had any inappropriate ads here except an hour ago.
(if i want control over the ads, i have to pay).
An ago, i saw some verbally pornographic content from Google Ads Sense.(mga siraulo talaga, sorry po, nakakainis kasi.) i flagged them by shutting them down by clicking the small x mark at the right-hand corner of the ad — then, a prompt asked to click the box that stated the reason (then clicked the box that said “ad inappropriate”).
i apologize to everyone who may have been subjected to the verbally pornographic content from Google Ads Sense (it was in the vernacular (Tagalog or Filipino language). I’m guessing Google Ads Sense has no sense to install apps that could filter verbal obscenities in the Filipino language.
Should you see any such ad again, please report them to me or you may flag them by clicking the small x mark at the right-hand corner: a prompt will appear to ask why, then you may click your reasons for reporting it and shutting it.
My apologies again. -marichu

The news on the survey poll done by Pulse Asia was disseminated by Rappler. The article was successfully able to impart the survey results with the necessary information which give the results more meaning.
Firstly, Rappler noted that before this September public opinion poll, there had also been one which was done last June. There had been an increase in public awareness on EJKs since the last poll. By giving this context, Rappler did not only simply and plainly reported the survey results, but also gave a rightful interpretation
Second, Rappler was successful in echoing important details of the survey poll, such as the number of respondents, the 3% margin of error and 95% confidence level, and the scope of the poll.
And lastly, the headline “Most Filipinos believe EJKs happen in war on drugs – poll” was objective enough, that it did not try to misinterpret the finding which supported this statement. It was based on the question, “Naniniwala po ba kayo o hindi naniniwala na may nangyayaring extrajudicial killings o EJK sa pagsasakatuparan ng kampanya laban sa iligal na droga (Do you believe or not believe that extrajudicial killings or EJK are happening in the implementation of the campaign against illegal drugs)?” Based on the answers, it was 73% of the respondents who believed in this premise.
Indeed, Rappler was able to disseminate the results into more digestible bits of information to the public, in an objective way possible.
