[A tip for those who want to submit the 1st Bonus post: Most premature-campaigning ads are aired on primetime free tv at 6pm-8pm — or as ads of primetime news on free tv. Students who have no access to tv can watch the tv flat screen on the lobby of the building — tune in to primetime news. Premature campaign ads that have been commented on here cannot be used again by other members of the class. Students may also surf the internet for material. Outdoor media (billboards, tarps, stickers, etc.) may also be used provided an original photo is provided.]

(produce at least ten minutes, produce various sitners using different kinds of shots, choose action shots over stilllifes (different kinds of shots: establishing shots, slow steady pan, slow tracking, slow zoom in and slow zoom out, medium shots for interviews and selfie – voice-over the shots to save on time. Make a backup of your file in your computer. At editing: crunch to three minutes at — if you can — cut-to-cut 5 seconds-7 seconds per frame, audio voice over should be clear and continuous. Use live, outdoor audio voice over, do not dub in a sound booth or room. Fade in to start fade out to end)

The 2nd Media Monitor (or 1st Bonus) can be posted here

The content of the media monitor will be part of classroom discussion. The results (scores) of the first media monitor have been emailed by the department assistant this morning.

The Second Media Monitor (or 1st Bonus — for those who have not submitted any 1st Bonus) can be posted here either as embedded in-line text or as links to another platform. The deadline of the 2nd regular media monitor is extended to Thursday 5pm Aug. 27 in view of the Gawad Plaridel on Wednesday. (the 1st bonus can be submitted between now and the week before the first exam).

Everyone is invited to participate in the Gawad Plaridel Awards and the after-socials. Students are requested to sign the attendance sheet. (i will be available in the classroom for consults at 4:30pm).
