University community dog, Cotton, dreams, too (video below shows Cotton exhibiting running motion during the REM stage of his sleep). At the start of the video, you can see him enter the REM stage of his sleep with his eyes darting rapidly from left to right. Then, starting at 0:40 of the video, you will see his front legs and hind legs starting to jerk and move in synchronized running motion. (the tissue there is a piece of pet wipes)
(i’m guessing that: since he is sleeping outdoors under the pergola in a windy area fronting the mass comm hill: In his dream, he is on the field behind him happily trotting on that meadow where the wind blows and brushes him while sleeping … i’m guessing …) … see for yourself below and theorize 🙂
