Updated: Morning series #atthemoment #atm

Likha Diwa vegetarian (& seafood) restaurant delivers at 7am (they deliver a package of four meals a day every morning, for five days reasonably priced at P 1,400 for the entire five days. For details, pls see their FB site). So…because it was a package of four meals, I had four choices: i had the vegetarian mushroom stroganoff [ smothered it with raw organic kale leaves but that’s just me — I  eat leeeeaves (leaves) ]

The vegetarian mushroom stroganoff was creamy, with a hint of cheese or butter — very flavorful. The Bontoc brown rice was textured and fragrant.

I’m sipping vegan café latté at the moment. Mango later, c/o Likha also. Good morning!

Like many people, upon waking up: you can start with  a glassful of room-temperature drinking water (some drink more than a glass. My Chinese oriental Eastern health consultant says that cold water actually “shocks” your stomach (like crime news early in the morning)1arrest

and makes your stomach contract abruptly and, in time, when you subject your stomach to such stress, it will weaken. i don’t know — i read in magazine that movie stars who diet, like Beyoncé, drink many glasses of  ice-cold water before a meal to contract their stomach inside so it will not accept too much food. i don’t know:

i wouldn’t want to “shock” my stomach too much and too often so i’ll go with the Chinese oriental Eastern health practice… then, after a few minutes, still half-asleep:  a glass of wheatgrass juice (this is Western, i think; that is — discovered in the West). Then, asanas, ashtanga: that’s Eastern (India) with modifications from the West. i’ve finished my plough, crunches, dead bugs, and leg-raises (that’s East and West). Breakfast in a few minutes will be: steamed oww-kra (okra, silly), with spicy tuyó and lots of kalamansi to neutralize the salt of the tuyó (it’s easy to make steamed okra 🙂 ) ; bananas, grainy bread with tuna and egg, lettuce, tomatoes (it’s easy to make a sandwich and press it in the sandwich-maker to make it taste like a gourmet sandwich), vegan café latté. Then, small pineapple chunks and mango juice: Magandang umaga!
