Sneak Preview: Big data on how the Cybercrime Prevention Act is being implemented in investigating online libel

A portion of the presentation and analysis of the big data on the implementation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act:
(Short background on the Cybercrime Law: Libel was belatedly added in the 2012 Senate deliberation after public hearings were concluded; it was lumped with child pornography and cybersex.)
(Background on child pornography: News reports on child pornography show that it is an underground criminal activity perpetrated by syndicates in the dark web and requires serious, consistent investigative work and surveillance to detect.)
After the implementation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act the big data (see sample below) show, among others, that:

Police officers are using up their resources, time, and effort to investigate netizens openly ranting on FB — resources that could be used to go after the real criminals: child pornographers preying on infants and small children using the dark web. (a small portion of today’s presentation at the auditorium of Plaridel Hall, UPCMC, University of the Philippines Diliman, Nov. 23, Thursday, 4pm.)
